victim support group

Many women who have experienced domestic or sexual violence find comfort in being able to talk to other women who share their experiences and who understand what they are going through. In partnership with Mercy Home, the YWCA offers victim support groups for both women and children. Support groups meet twice a week and are led by a licensed counselor.

Daycare for children under 12 is also available for young children accompanying their mothers. These groups meet at the same time as the women’s support groups, and feature fun, child-friendly activities, such as games, movies and art projects.

There is no cost for attending either support group.
