Week Without Violence

Rising Together: Centering Young Voices to End Gender-Based Violence

Every October during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, YWCA USA leads Week Without Violence (WWV), a national campaign that mobilizes communities to raise awareness, inspire action, and advance solutions to end gender-based violence.

In 2026, YWCA USA will shine a spotlight on a critical reality: young people are disproportionately impacted by intimate partner violence, sexual assault, grooming, and exploitation, yet their voices are often missing from conversations about prevention, healing, and systemic change. Through storytelling, education, and dialogue, Week Without Violence will create space for young people, survivors, advocates, and communities to come together to envision a future free from violence.
