YWCA is on a mission and YWCA Great Falls is making it our own!

To empower women and eliminate racism, we must meet our clients where they are most vulnerable and provide the compassion and services that place them on a path to self-sufficiency and prosperity.

Our vision is that all women and their families can achieve their full potential in a world without discrimination.

This requires a focus on the future, anticipating the needs of our clients, and creating innovative solutions to the problems they most often face – poverty, unsafe living conditions, lack of reliable and affordable childcare, and under- or unemployment.

We are evolving our services to meet the changing needs of our clients today and in the future.

Nationally, YWCA advocacy issues include lobbying for pay equity and hate crimes legislation, increased funding for Head Start and passing the Violence Against Women Act. Locally, through our programs, we are changing lives and restoring hope for women, their families, and our community!

Mercy Home

Envisioning a life free from violence for survivors of domestic violence and sexual violence, the Mercy Home Shelter empowers those in need by offering crisis intervention, shelter services, follow-up care, and on-going support. YWCA Great Falls also provides education, information, counseling, and support to those in North Central Montana.

  • Advocacy

Our advocates are available to help individuals express their needs, access information, and explore their choices. They are there to help people find their voice and gain control over their lives. Our advocates help with finding housing, childcare needs, case management, legal advocacy, and more.

  • Shelter

Our Mercy Home Shelter is there to house women and children leaving a Domestic Violence situation or healing from sexual assault. The shelter provides safe and secure housing, food, clothing, bathing facilities and personal hygiene. This 60 day program is intended to help women out of a potentially dangerous situation and gain some independence from their abuser.

  • Counseling

YWCA Great Falls provides compassionate counseling and supportive group services to help individuals heal, grow, and thrive. Our counselors empower their clients by respecting the client’s autonomy and honoring their strength and dignity.

  • Support Group

This interactive group provides a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space for survivors to connect, heal, and access the support they need. It’s a place where survivors can share their experiences, emotions, and ideas, knowing they are not alone.
